Delivery
The AK-03 arrived well-packaged for privacy, tucked securely within two plain brown shipping boxes. Inside, the actual product packaging was sleek and stylish: a matte black box prominently displaying the Hismith logo in bold lettering along the top and subtle raised gold accents on the sides. It felt professional and premium right from the start.
Opening the box, the thoughtful organization was immediately apparent. The first layer revealed the essentials, all neatly arranged within a polyurethane insert. This included a hex wrench for setup, the 100V AC adapter, a wireless remote, a wired controller, and a seven-inch Hismith KlicLok silicone dildo. The main unit of the AK-03 was also securely nestled in this layer, mostly assembled for convenience.
Moving to the second layer, the attention to detail continued. This layer contained the legs and the leg mounting bracket, perfectly positioned within protective inserts. Beneath this, I found a smaller Hismith-branded box and a white envelope with the user manual and supporting documentation.
The smaller box held a variety of attachments for the KlicLok system. Included were a KlicLok Vac-U-Lock adapter, a durable metal KlicLok suction cup adapter, and two dual-density silicone KlicLok dildos in different sizes: eight-inch, and nine-inch. Everything about this unboxing spoke of quality and thoughtful design, setting the tone for a premium product experience.

assembly
Assembling the AK-03 is refreshingly simple, thanks to its straightforward design. The entire process involves only three main components: the main unit, the legs, and the leg mounting bracket.
To begin assembling the AK-03, first remove the nut and bolt from one side of the leg mounting bracket. Align the bracket with the designated slot on the main unit, then slide it into place.
Step 2: Once aligned, replace the nut and bolt, tightening them securely to ensure a firm connection.
Step 3: Repeat this process for the other side, attaching the bracket to the slots on the legs.
Step 4: Once the bracket and legs are firmly secured, plug the wired controller and the AC adapter into their respective ports on the back of the machine. Double-check that all connections are secure before powering on the device.
Adjustments
The AK-03 offers impressive versatility, allowing it to be configured at various angles to suit your specific needs up to 90°. This flexibility is made possible by its single-bar leg support system. To adjust the angle, simply loosen the connection points on one or both ends of the leg mounting bracket. Once loosened, tilt the AK-03 to your desired angle and retighten the connections securely.
Measurements
The AK-03 measures fifteen inches in length, fourteen inches in width, and has an adjustable height ranging from nine to fourteen and a half inches. Its compact yet flexible design makes it a standout option for just about any scenario. Whether you’re setting it up in a roomy space or a tight corner, the AK-03 adapts effortlessly to your needs.

Testing and Performance

The folding capability is a standout feature—it’s small enough to tuck away under some beds, though not all, which adds a layer of convenience. However, the adjustment screws feel a bit basic and could benefit from wing covers to make angle adjustments smoother and more user-friendly. On the plus side, its motor delivers consistent power, strong enough for most preferences while still safely recoiling when significant resistance is encountered. Switching toys is a breeze, thanks to the easy and quick KlicLok attachment system.

The wired controller features a dial with a satisfying click and an easy-to-read screen. The wireless remote further enhances usability, allowing you to adjust speeds in increments of five, reset to zero with the Hismith button, or cycle through eight thrusting patterns, all displayed on the wired controller’s screen for clarity. The combination of precise controls and seamless operation earns the AK-03 top marks for usability.

The AK-03 is refreshingly low-maintenance, with upkeep requiring minimal effort. A light application of heat-resistant gear oil every three months to the rod is sufficient to keep the device performing at its best. Cleaning is equally simple: a quick wipe with a sanitizing cloth is usually enough. For more thorough cleaning, a lightly dampened cloth restores its polished appearance. The ease of both cleaning and maintenance makes the AK-03 an effortless addition to any collection.

At maximum power, the AK-03 produces about -42 dBFS of noise, a respectable level for a device of its power. Measurements taken at the base with a Galaxy A14 microphone indicate a 0.1 mm/s acceleration at ~24Hz vibration. However, the machine tends to rock back and forth at full speed if not secured. This issue can be resolved with a Hismith Non-slip, Anti-rotation Base Plate, which enhances stability and reduces motion noise.
